Ali Akbarzadeh

Since his childhood, Ali’s true passion has always been film. Like many kids of the MTV video generation, Ali began making short films in middle school and in high school. Originally from Colorado, he decided to turn his passion into a career by moving to California where he studied at the American Film Institute and graduated at the top of his class from California State University of Long Beach. Ali co-founded Akorn Entertainment in 2005 and has won several prestigious awards for his campaigns with Goodwill International. Today Akorn develops campaigns for Microsoft, Toyota and OCTA. Ali’s most recent documentary Killswitch premiered at the prestigious IDFA in Amsterdam and played several festivals in the US including Cinequest, and the Woodstock International Film Festival where it received the award for Best Editing. He is currently in production on a TV series called The Pink Lotus.
