Jack comes from a fine art background, and during his studies he began by adapting static works into moving images, utilising a variety of mediums to create short stories within abstract paintings. These evolved into short films with a strong emphasis on narrative and textual abstractions, translating his approach to painting in film.Jack began with making crazed stop motion animations and went on tocreate ‘The Barbicans’ and ‘Itch Dear Wil’, these short films played at a number of outdoor festivals in the UK including Latitude, Shambala and Glastonbury. He then adapted the fevered atmosphere of his animations into live action and began to develop his first full length feature, ‘Malady’.
