Rafi Girgis came to America from Egypt in 1987. Since Childhood he had always been fascinated and in love with movies. After completing film school, he directed and produce his first feature called LOST IN THE USA a feature that was done in his native language that shows the extremes of culture shock. The film was meet with great success in the Middle East and around the world. In his latest film FOREIGN LAND he deals with the complex issue of immigration. Rafi has definite plans to imprint his sense of style on his films and believes that films has a great responsibility on our society to shed light on difficult subjects and to try to make the world a better place.
